The City of Bridgeport is inviting artists to turn the city into their personal canvas.

Officials encourage artists to take part in a public art project that could end up with their mural on display in a prominent place.

They say currently, more than 50 murals brighten the city -- and they're looking forward to expanding that number.

The application deadline is set for April 5
