Legislators met with Bridgeport?s mayor Tuesday afternoon to set priorities for the legislative session. State Representative Chris Caruso (D-Bridgeport) outlined a number of ideas, with education being at the top of the list. Lawmakers say they also want to provide residents with property tax relief, work on a universal health care plan, and tackle environmental eyesores. Other initiatives include revitalizing the Park City?s economy, and working on an energy plan, which includes strategies to lower electric rates. Caruso says he will meet with the city's delegation weekly to address these initiatives.
