Bridgeport PD: 17-year-old hit by a car at Fairfield Avenue, Clinton Avenue intersection

Police say the teenager was hit Saturday night near the intersection of Fairfield Avenue and Clinton Avenue.

A Bridgeport teenager was struck by a car on Saturday night while attempting to cross the street, according to police.
Police say they received multiple calls for a car versus pedestrian incident around 6:47 p.m.
Upon arrival, emergency crews found an injured 17-year-old from Bridgeport. They were taken to the hospital where they were in critical but stable condition as of Monday evening.
The Bridgeport Serious Crash Team and the Southern Fairfield County Traffic Unit say a 2012 gray Honda Accord was driving through the intersection of Fairfield Avenue and Clinton Avenue when it hit the teenager.
The driver was identified as a 22-year-old Bridgeport man and the passenger was identified as an 18-year-old Bridgeport man. They were not injured in the accident.
