Police in Bridgeport are investigating three separate shootings overnight that left two people dead and four others injured.
Police say a 24-year-old Kiromy Fontanez was shot to death on Pearl Street at around 4 a.m. Sunday morning. They say her 5-year-old daughter, her mother and mother's boyfriend were also in the multi-family home at the time of the incident.
Police say 35-year-old Jose Santiago initially shot the mother's boyfriend in the leg. They say Santiago then went to the second floor of the home and fatally shot Fontanez.
Officials report that Santiago confessed to the crime one hour later when they found him.
Earlier in the evening, police say 23-year-old Abraham Davidson was fatally shot at the intersection of Barnum Avenue and William Street at around 2:30 a.m. Investigators say Davidson was just released from prison 10 days ago, but they have not pinpointed a motive behind his death.
Another three people were shot just after midnight on Pitt Street. They say Najees Abraham, Michael Allison and Jamiel Thompson were shot after a party turned violent.
Officials say that no one at the party, including the victims, could describe how they were shot or who shot them.
News 12 has learned that none of their injuries were life-threatening.
