Bridgeport police: 3 suspects sought following home invasion on Exeter Street

Bridgeport police are asking for the public's help in a search for three suspects who attacked a resident while breaking into his home. Police say the suspects broke into the home at 401 Exeter St.

Bridgeport police are asking for the public's help in a search for three suspects who attacked a resident while breaking into his home.
Police say the suspects broke into the home at 401 Exeter St. Monday night.
Security video of the home invasion shows the victim being pistol-whipped about a dozen times.
City Council Member Jeanette Herron says the victim is her son's friend. She says her son and grandchildren were also in the home when the incident occurred.
"Fortunately, my son was able to prevent the assailants from going into their room," she says.
Herron says her son, grandchildren and son's friend will likely move out of the home.
