Officers from the Bridgeport Police Department are trying to bridge the gap between themselves and the neighborhood.
The police are hitting the streets in North Bridgeport Wednesday asking residents and business owners about concerns or issues they would like to see addressed by law enforcement.
Bridgeport Police Chief Bryan Norwood is leading 15 other command level personnel on the canvass of the neighborhood. One of the top priorities is getting information on public safety concerns, such as urban blight and abandoned cars.
