Bridgeport police: Mom charged in connection with leaving child alone on the street in the rain

Bridgeport police say they've identified the child seen being abandoned on the street while it was raining on March 31.

Bridgeport police say they've identified the child seen being abandoned on the street while it was raining on March 31.
They also located the car involved.
The state's Department of Children and Families says the child is Black, around 5 years old and has disabilities.
He goes by the name "Prince," and is believed to be in good health.
Police have arrested the child's mother, 41-year-old Sharon Williams, and charged her with risk of injury to a minor, cruelty, abandonment of a child under the age of 6, leaving a child under 12 unsupervised and reckless endangerment.
Bond has been set at $250,000. Williams is expected to appear in court April 12.
