Police in Bridgeport say they are looking for a man who shot a woman at nearly point blank range back in June, and it was caught on video.
According to police, the woman is lucky to be alive.
The video begins with a gunman following a woman at Maple and Kossuth Streets.
The woman does not seem to be aware that he is behind her.
Police say the woman was shot in the shoulder, but they say it appears he may have been aiming for the woman's head.
She was able to get up and call for help after the shooting.
Investigators are now asking the public to take a close look at the suspect.
“It's shocking that a person walking down the sidewalk is assaulted with a firearm,” says Chief AJ Perez. “This is something we will not tolerate in the city of Bridgeport and again, we're asking the public to please help identify responsible for this horrific act of violence.”
The motive for the shooting remains unclear.
