There is little more than a week to go until Christmas and the Bridgeport Rescue Mission is urging people to continue in the spirit of giving by contributing to their "restore hope campaign."
The campaign provides food and shelter for the less fortunate in Bridgeport throughout the year.
The group says it still needs $760,000 to help the homeless and the hungry next year.
The mission has been around for about 18 years and provides about 600,000 meals a year to Bridgeport residents living below the poverty line.
The mission also provides shelter, addiction counseling and clothing items to the working poor.
In order to keep those services, the mission says it needs to raise the money by the end of January.
