Emotions ran high for homeowners in Bridgeport last night as they packed a public hearing on a proposed tax hike.
Many came to speak out against what they are calling a significant increase in property taxes.
It could cost the average homeowner an extra $400 a year.
Mayor Bill Finch said much of the money will go toward the city's public schools.
He said tax increases are never popular, but Bridgeport has not seen an increase in three years.
