Some Bridgeport residents are raising concerns about building a new high school on the grounds of a former industrial site.
The State Department of Energy and Environmental Protection and the EPA gave the green light for the city to build the new Harding High School on the old GE property on Boston Avenue.
Mayor Bill Finch says the property will be cleaned up using the highest environmental standards in the country.
Some residents fear the grounds will cause health problems.
Officials say the new high school is scheduled to open in the fall of 2017.
