Officials say a broken elevator has left dozens of senior citizens stranded in their apartments.
Residents say an elevator at the Seville Apartments on William Street has been broken for weeks, and people have been unable to get down from the upper floors.
Some residents are unable to use the stairs because they use wheelchairs or walkers.
Tenants say they have not been able to get to their weekly infusion therapy and dialysis appointments, while others say they've had to rely on friends and family to go shopping.
They say a storm knocked out the power weeks ago, and the elevator failed to come back on.
The apartment complex did not respond to a request for comment.
