Marty Yucha, of western Pennsylvania, says he didn't think he would ever find a liver. Then, Anthony Cernera, the director of philanthropy at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport, answered the call.
Cernera went out to Pittsburgh and donated part of his liver to Yucha in December. Last month, the two met for the first time since the procedure through a video. On Monday, News 12 brought them together again.
"Just broke my heart.,” said Yucha, 70. “Anyone that could save me from what I was going to experience – it was just great."
Now the two share a bond they say cannot be broken.
