A special bench dedicated to a Greenwich teen who took his own life last year was unveiled today.

The bench is located at Cranbury School on Knowalot Lane in Norwalk. 

As News 12 Connecticut previously reported, the family of 15-year-old Bart Palosz says he shot himself inside their home on the first day of school. Palosz's family says he experienced severe bullying and that ultimately led him to commit suicide.

The woman behind the effort, Lori Keegan, of Norwalk, says the bench will be called the "Buddy Bench." Keegan says she came up with the idea for the bench when she heard about Palosz's story.

Keegan says she wanted to create a place for kids to go if they are feeling lonely on the playground and want to be included. She says other children can extend a warm welcome to those on the bench and invite them to come play.
