A car wash business is offering free washes for police officers this Labor Day weekend.

Officers can get their police cruisers or personal cars washed for free with police identification at Russell Speeder's Car Wash in Norwalk and at 23 of their other locations.

The "Love a Cop" weekend promotion started on Friday and is running through Monday.

The manager says it's a way to say thank you to officers for their service, dedication and hard work.

"We're trying to show appreciation to the officers for everything they do for us. It's just a little thanks that we can do for them, give them a free wash just for the hard work they put for us," says assistant manager Carlos Montenegro.
