Police said that a bomb threat to the Connecticut Capitol Building in Hartford on Tuesday was determined to be a hoax.
Officials said they were made aware of a social media post that mentioned a “non-specific” threat to the Capitol building.
Federal, state, and local law enforcement were immediately notified around 1:30 p.m. and began investigating.
Capitol police searched the building and campus but found no threat.
Police said they are working with the FBI to identify where the social media post originated from.
This comes a day after a man from Pennsylvania was arrested after attempting to
break in at the Connecticut State Office Building.
