Stamford police say a car crashed through a plate glass window of a convenience store this morning.
It happened at East Main Convenience on East Main Street around 8 a.m.
The store owner says the driver smashed through the window and plowed through the store counter, pushing everything in the store around. 
Witnesses say the driver hit the gas instead of the break.
The driver was taken to the hospital. 
The store owner says he is unsure if he will open today.
