Fairfield police say businesses inside a commercial building can stay open while extensive repairs are being made after a car hit the building yesterday afternoon.
Police say a pickup truck was pulling a trailer when it drove across Prospect Street in Southport Center.
It then struck the side of the building at 281 Pequot Ave. 
Police say no one was hurt.
The driver was given a ticket.
