An elderly Stamford woman says her at-home caretaker verbally and physically abused her.
Dorothy Tregelles, 86, claims that Awilda Figueroa abused her for over a month inside her apartment after Figueroa was hired to care for her.
Figueroa was in court Thursday to go before a judge. The arrest warrant says that Figueroa tied Tregelles up with a phone cord, and at one point told her that she would "pop her in the mouth."
A police warrant also says that Figueroa brought a woman and later a man over to have sex while Tregelles was in the other room.
Figueroa is being held on $25,000 bond. Tregelles now has a new health aide caring for her.
