A Stratford gas station attendant is facing charges after police say he was caught checking scratch off tickets to see if they were winners, and then selling the losing tickets to customers.

Muhanad Almasri worked at the Citgo on Barnum Avenue.

Police say he scratched off the bar codes on tickets, scanned them and then sold the ones without a cash prize to unsuspecting customers.

Police say they found four $20 losing tickets waiting to be sold.
