The community in Westport helped make this holiday season extra special for one local cashier.
Charlotte is a 93-year-old woman from Bridgeport and always greets every one of her customers with a smile.
While working fulltime at a market in Westport, Charlotte has developed a loyal following of fans.
The community raised a whopping $30,000 for her this holiday season.
“When the community saw the opportunity to say thank you, they hurled themselves at you with an expression of love and gratitude for all you’ve done throughout the years,” organizer Dan Frank says.
Frank says he never could’ve imagined that posting one video to Facebook would generate so much generosity for Charlotte.
