A child is recovering today after Stratford police say a driver hit him and left the scene.

Police say the boy was hit on Broadbridge Avenue near Voight Place around 9 p.m. yesterday. Witnesses say the car may have been a dark color Subaru.

Police say the boy is expected to be OK.
