Hundreds of student-athletes across the state returned to practice on Tuesday for their winter sports seasons.
News 12’s Justin DeVellis was at Fairfield Warde High School for an inside look at their basketball practices.
The City of Norwalk is still awaiting a start date for its winter sports season. Stamford high schools have only allowed non-contact skill-building practices through the end of January.
Bridgeport schools opted out of participating in certain winter sports, saying that the risks were not worth it amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Statewide games can start no sooner than Feb. 8.
