Community members and organizations across the state came together Monday to help those affected by the deadly earthquake in Ecuador over the weekend.
The Ecuadorian Civic Center in Danbury says it will be collecting money at the center this Sunday.
"We are Ecuadorians, we help grow the USA," says Milton Pauta, of the Civic Center. "Right now, our people need help. We need the help from everybody."
Civic Center officials say the money from the fundraiser will go directly to the Red Cross.
