It's campaign season, and the race for mayor at Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo has the candidates acting like animals.

Actually, they are animals. Seven of them are vying for your vote with the election also acting as a fundraiser.

The candidates include:

Wiggles (Chinchilla)

Matilda (Red-footed tortoise)

Peaces (Nigerian dwarf goat)

E.O. (Giant anteater)

Jolene (Whistling duck)

Madonna (Peahen)

Kallisto (Amur Leopard)

Ballots are cast by a $1 donation with the public encouraged to vote early and often.

Voting runs through Nov. 4th on the zoo's Facebook page and website. May the best animal win.
