A review committee in Norwalk decided not to recommend a controversial mosque and Islamic center proposal to the city's full zoning commission.
The decision came after three public meetings were held and neighbors complained that Fillow Street could not handle the extra traffic and parking.
Supporters of the center says if the zoning commission denies their application, they may go to court.
The next hearing will be on June 6.
