A Connecticut man just returned from out of state where he donated a part of himself for the third time.
Anthony Cernera works at Saint Vincent's Medical Center in philanthropy in Bridgeport.
He just came back from Pittsburgh where he donated part of his liver to a recipient there.
He has also donated a kidney and bone marrow to a woman in California.
Cernera says he does this because he wants to help others.
"I think meeting those two recipients was really a wonderful motivation to see this act that was fairly simple and didn't cost me that much," said Cernera. "Really transformed and hopefully saved a life and getting to be able to do that a third time was a real privilege."
Cernera says he hasn't met his liver recipient yet but hopes to soon.
Cernera says he's still feeling pretty good after the surgery and is getting ready to do one of his favorite things -- skydiving.
