(AP) - Connecticut health officials say a sixth state resident has died after contracting swine flu.
The Public Health Department would only say the person was a NewHaven County resident in his or her 40s who died recently aftergoing to a hospital and had other health problems.
The agency says testing has confirmed that 824 state residentshave had swine flu, including 36 who were hospitalized. Most of thepatients have recovered. Officials say the number of swine flucases is probably much higher because most people with mildsymptoms do not seek medical attention.
Public Health Commissioner J. Robert Galvin says people shouldcontinue washing their hands often, covering their coughs andtaking other precautions.
