While it appears Puerto Rico will not take a direct hit from Hurricane Dorian, many are concerned about the impact that a large amount of rain could have on the island still recovering from Hurricane Maria.
The Sola family in Bridgeport, who have family in Puerto Rico, are watching forecasts closely – hoping that the storm will not be too destructive to the island.
“People are still with the anxiety from Maria,” says Johnny Sola.
He went on to say that his sisters’ home was still not fully repaired from damage suffered in the 2017 storm.
On Wednesday, National Hurricane Center director Ken Graham and, in Spanish, WFO Miami MIC Dr. Pablo Santos went on Facebook to give an update on the storm.
