An investigation is underway this morning after a construction worker was killed when he was struck by a backhoe at a West Haven construction site.
Officials say the 55-year-old man was hit when crews were working on a sewer line near the Boston Post Road Tuesday.
The victim was pronounced dead at the hospital.
