A neighbor said nearly 40 police officers surrounded 803-805 Williams St. Monday morning. Investigators spent the day combing through all three floors and the basement of the house searching for clues in connection to the case.
Authorities have only confirmed their search was related to the case and that no one has been arrested yet.
The body of 34-year-old Charles Gerber, of Stratford, was found inside a barrel floating down the Pequannock River in Bridgeport last week.
