A neighbor in Country Club says a home on Rawlins Avenue has turned into a house of horrors with alleged dog fighting, loud parties and illegal activity.
While there on Monday, News 12 crews saw the backyard of the property at 3188 Rawlins Ave. littered with dog feces. News 12 also obtained photos of multiple vehicles with out-of-state license plates parked at the property, cockroaches and multiple police officers visiting the home while the home was blocked off with caution tape.
Additionally, 311 shows several noise complaints, and one resident tells News 12 that he often hears yelling and children crying in the morning.
Police also confirmed that the department is investigating an assault that happened nearby the home on Nov. 3, 2024 where was a woman was punched and a man was sent to the hospital.
The owner of the property lives elsewhere in the Bronx and is aware of the ongoing issues at the building. He told News 12 in a phone call that the tenants have not paid rent since last year and that he has also been threatened by residents in spite of calls to law enforcement.
The property owner also said he has hired a lawyer.
