Multiple fire departments worked to extinguish a building fire in Derby early Sunday morning.
The city's fire department posted photos to its Facebook page stating that they were dispatched to Main and Caroline streets around 5:15 a.m.
Derby Mayor Anita Dugatto says the city recently bought the building and had plans to demolish it.
Dugatto says the land will become part of the city's revitalization plan.
Fire officials also say crews from several towns including Orange and Shelton pitched in to extinguish the flames.
No one was injured.
