Crews are getting ready to demolish a vacant Jersey City building that was destroyed in a fire.
Jersey City officials say the four-alarm fire started at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The roof and second floor collapsed.
An adjacent home that the city says was also vacant had damage to the exterior with melted siding. The home appears to be for sale.
A third building had shattered windows, and firefighters responded to smoke on the roof.
The buildings are on John F. Kennedy Boulevard and Audubon Avenue across from the New Jersey City University campus.
The cause of the fire is not clear.
No injuries have been reported.
