Two national organizations based in southwestern Connecticut were honored in Norwalk for working to make the world a better place.
Sen. Richard Blumenthal commended the work of the marketing agency, "Milk," and the non-profit group "Unite the World with Africa."
Blumenthal says the ad agency also helped the state's economy by doing business with companies in Connecticut.
He praised the non-profit for giving women in Africa the resources to become leaders in their communities.
