A Shelton couple has created an iPhone application they say is helping them communicate with their autistic son.
The Tedesco family says they used pictures in the past to help their son identify objects, emotions and activities. Once they bought an iPhone, they created an application called iPrompts to update the process.
The application stores images and photos, which parents can use to communicate with special needs children who have communication barriers. The Tedescos say the application also includes color-coded timers, which make activity transitions easier for their son.
