The state Department of Health says that Connecticut hospitals have already seen over 3,000 suspected drug overdoses this year.
Officials say there have been an average of 180 hospital visits for overdoses per week from January through April.
Hartford County tops the state in suspected opioid deaths with over 1,000.
Fairfield County is in third with 416, while Litchfield County has the least in the state with 129 suspected deaths.
