The Connecticut Food Bank and Foodshare say they will continue distributing food at Calf Pasture Beach in Norwalk each week until the end of April.
The two nonprofits recently merged into one and have been doing a distribution of food every Wednesday since January.
Drone 12 was above the distribution site and captured video of the lines of cars that wrapped around the parking lot.
Organizers say around 1,500 cars come through each week.
Today's distribution was made possible thanks to a donation from The Caleb and Calder Sloan Awesome Foundation.
They hold similar events in Miami.
The Buccieri sisters volunteered at the site today. They call themselves "Team Bucci." They are family friends of the founders and say this is the second distribution they've volunteered at.
The food bank is open for food distribution every Wednesday at Calf Pasture Beach in Norwalk from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m.
