Members of the environment and energy committees held a forum Tuesday to discuss what some call the greatest challenge and opportunity facing the state.
The issue at hand has to deal with the clean energy technology. Committee members say the technology can lead to economic and job growth as well as improve the quality of life. They say it's important to incorporate the clean energy issue into school curriculums. A teacher at Stratford's Bunnell High School, who is very involved in the research of renewable energy, says teaching kids is the key to making clean energy a part of the future.
Connecticut is one of the top producers of fuel cells. It also has a program called 20 percent by 2020, which encourages consumers to have 20 percent of energy come from renewable sources by 2020.
