A federal rule finalized back in May, expanding access to health care for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) will begin Friday, Nov. 1.

Access Health CT, a marketplace to shop, compare and enroll in health and dental insurance products is ensuring those eligible receive the assistance they need.
The new law applies to DACA recipients who are lawfully present and have been granted deferred action.
"So, there's 60 days from the time the federal government grants deferred action for these folks to come in and enroll in health insurance," explained Caroline Ruwet, director of marketing at Access Health CT.
Upon enrollment, coverage begins the first of the next month.
Access Health CT will have fairs around the state to provide free, in-person assistance. There is a call center available where they can provide help in more than 100 languages. Call: 1-855-805-4325.
