A man from Darien is facing charges after police say he attacked an airline employee while being escorted off a plane in Miami.

Officials said 29-year-old Bruno Machiavelo, of Darien, wanted a prescription medication retrieved from his checked baggage, but the airline staff denied his request. Machiavelo then started making threats toward the plane.

Police said Machiavelo got violent as he was being escorted off and attacked an airline employee.

Machiavelo is facing several charges, including battery.
