The daughter of the woman who was found dead in Stratford earlier this week is asking for the public's help in paying for her mother's funeral.
Minnie Lincoln's dismembered body was found Monday on Watson Boulevard. The 57-year-old had been missing since March 31.
A short time later the man suspected of killing her, 36-year-old Marcus Jackson, took his own life. Police say the last time the two were seen together was captured on surveillance video taken on Stratford Avenue. The family says they have no idea what circumstances led up to her death.
Lincoln's daughter says her family has been going through a living nightmare trying to come to terms with this tragic loss.
The family plans to hold a memorial on Saturday at 6 p.m. near the site where Lincoln's body was found.
