Dinner to benefit police scholarships, honor fallen officers to be held Wednesday

The Police Commissioners Association of Connecticut will hold their annual charity event this week to help young people achieve their dreams of becoming police officers.
A scholarship awards dinner will be held in partnership with the Marilyn Goldstone Foundation at Vazzano's Four Seasons in Stratford at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
Three police chiefs and several officers will be honored for their exceptional leadership.
Lieutenant Dustin Demonte and Sergeant Alex Hamzy, the two Bristol police officers killed last year, will also be honored.
