The Department of Motor Vehicles warned people Wednesday about delays due to problems with its computer systems.
Officials urged people to postpone their trips to the DMV after intermittent computer outages started Tuesday.
All registrations and licenses that were set to expire Tuesday or Wednesday will be automatically renewed until Thursday.
The DMV says this is the latest round of issues slowing down service since a software upgrade months ago, which reportedly cost the state $25 million.
Last week, the DMV announced it was opting out of a contract with the 3M company, which had been hired to revamp its computer system.
