A Bridgeport woman has pleaded guilty to stealing some $80,000 while working at the Department of Motor Vehicles.

Court officials say Kimberly Brown pleaded guilty Wednesday morning.

Thefts were discovered during a computer system audit.

State police say Brown exploited a loophole to alter registration forms that allowed her to pocket the sales tax paid by customers.

Brown is expected to be sentenced next month.
