A Norwalk company is making sure students in the area are heading back to school next month with the proper school supplies.

Fifteen employees from Albourne America were at the Family & Children’s Agency to help pack supplies into 80 backpacks. The supplies were donated by High Water Women – a nonprofit founded by women in hedge fund and investment industries.

Maureen Hart, of the FCA, arranged the partnership, which is now in its fourth year. She says those with the means of helping people who are less affluent in Fairfield County should do just that.

The backpacks will go mostly toward the students involved in the FCA’s ASPIRE program. Amy Jeffereis, the program’s director, says ASPIRE is for middle school and high school students, and focuses on academics, character skills and life skills.

“Thank you for giving them one less thing to be angst about,” Jeffereis told the volunteers. “It just motivates to do even more.”
