A transportation study is expected to settle a traffic problem that some Bronx residents say is one-sided.
The problem started when St. Paul Avenue residents asked the NYC Department of Transportation to change the direction of traffic on their street so people coming off Pelham Parkway could not use the road. Drivers now flood Burr Avenue.
The DOT is conducting a study to find out where drivers exiting Pelham Parkway go. State transportation officials will work with the city on the project.
Some residents say the study comes late. "Why is there now a big study being done to put the situation back the way it was," angry Burr Avenue resident Ely Fontanez said.Related information:
