The FDNY says it happened just before 11:45 a.m. Neighbors in some of the surrounding buildings told News 12 their Wi-Fi was down.
The Department of Buildings has issued a partial vacate order for the backyard of the building of the property that was impacted.
News 12 also observed a violation summons posted on a building on Eagle Street relating to the tree and maintenance of the property.
Bridget Wentworth says she heard the tree crashing down.
"There was a huge rumbling and windy sound – and I look over, thinking a huge tornado is blowing by, and I see the tree just fall into the houses. It was a massive amount of destruction, at least to the fences and backyards," said Wentworth.
The FDNY says there were no injuries.
