The weather was improving in Norwalk Tuesday evening after Isaias, but it was still a mess on the roads.
The storm caused trees to come down along Main Avenue. One tree barely missed the Wild Rice Sushi Restaurant.
The good news was that the area escaped flooding down by the shoreline. Some restaurants did shut down ahead of the storm, deciding not to take a chance.
"That would be fantastic if we wouldn't have to deal with any heavy rains or flooding issues," says Keith Torpey, of Norm's Catering Company. "But I think the major issue is the safety of tree limbs coming down."
Drivers were urged to stay off the roads so crews can clean up any downed trees.
