Veterans, local service members and families came out Sunday as the Edgewater Park Volunteer Fire Department held its annual Memorial Day parade.
The sun shined down on American flags as Bronx residents filled the streets to remember their fallen heroes.
For many, the holiday weekend means soaking up the sun and eating at barbecues, but the true meaning of Memorial Day was honored Sunday in Edgewater Park.
